November 9, 2021
Children’s author Claire Fayers grew up in Newport, Gwent, and now lives in Cardiff. In 2019, she was a awarded a Literature Wales bursary to develop a novel, which became Storm Hound. In 2020, she won the Tir na n-Og Award with Storm Hound, which tells the story of Storm of Odin, ‘the youngest stormhound of the Wild Hunt that haunts lightning-filled skies’.
To celebrate National Share-A-Story Month the Estyn Allan team asked Claire to share her memories of visiting her local library and what she loves about books. She also gives advice on how to write your very own fairy tale.
#EstynAllan is a collaboration between Welsh public libraries to create digital content, led by the Society of Chief Librarians Wales (SCL Cymru) and funded by the Welsh Government.
