Seeking Comfort & Community? Your Local Library is a Warm Welcome Space

As the weather turns colder and living costs remain a concern, finding a safe, warm, and welcoming place to spend time is more important than ever. Your local library is proud to participate in the “Warm Welcome” campaign, opening our doors as a free community hub where everyone can find comfort and connection.

More Than Just Warmth

While warmth is a primary offering, our libraries provide so much more:

  • Comfortable Environment: Find a cosy spot to settle in, read a book, or simply unwind.
  • Free Wi-Fi & Devices: Stay connected with our complimentary Wi-Fi, and use our public computers if you need them.
  • Refreshments: Often, hot drinks like tea and coffee are available, and sometimes light refreshments, making your stay even more pleasant.
  • Activities & Events: Discover various activities, from quiet reading to community events, offering opportunities to engage and connect.
  • Friendly Faces: Our staff and volunteers are here to offer a friendly welcome and support.

What is a Warm Welcome Space?

Our library is designated as a Warm Welcome Space (also known as a Warm Space or Warm Hub).

This means we offer a heated environment where you can come and relax, read, work, or simply enjoy the company of others, all without any cost or expectation.

It’s a place to escape the chill, save on your home heating, and feel part of your community.
