Anglesey libraries decided that they needed new membership cards specifically for children, with the aim of promoting and furthering child membership. A local artist was commissioned to create a character for the cards, and 3 child membership cards were produced to appeal to different ages and to give the children a choice.
“Good use of the membership card as a marketing communications tool with this initiative and a concept that will create positive word of mouth amongst the target audience over time. Excellent integration of the ‘brand’ across differing marketing materials including the mobile unit and a basis for further brand development. The initial cost could have been off set with partnership development perhaps and measurement of the success of the initiative is likely to be achieved in the longer, rather than, short term.”
