A large proportion of the budget for this year’s autumn campaign has been allocated towards the roll out of the primary school ‘Every Child a Library Member’ project (ECALM). Therefore, as this is fairly labour intensive for both library staff and the marketing team, the team have elected to go for a quick win campaign – promoting the hash tags #LoveLibraries and #CaruLlyfrgelloedd and focussing on social media, increasing membership and promoting our fantastic library services, activities and staff.
This campaign can easily be taken up by libraries in the academic and health sectors and will hopefully be supported by the education sector and schools as it links closely to ECALM and DfES initiatives such as ‘Take time to read’ and ‘Education begins at home’.
