The development of these units has been the result of collaboration between CQFW, NIACE Dysgu Cymru, the Welsh Information Literacy Project and Agored Cymru.
We would particularly like to thank Katy Burns (CQFW/NIACE) and Anne Lewis (Agored) for their commitment and enthusiasm which has made this possible.
Guidance for schools wishing to become an Agored accreditation centre is available here. The costs involved in becoming a centre are detailed here, along with learner attainment charges. Help and advice is also available from a network of Agored Business Development Officers :
Shan.taylor@agored.org.uk | North Wales |
Kayleigh.chainey@agored.org.uk | South East Wales |
Hywel.white@agored.org.uk | South East Wales |
Alison.Creed@agored.org.uk | South West Wales |
See Case studies section and IL in Schools section for examples of the information literacy CQFW units. We’ve also drawn together resources to help support delivering the units. A handbook with guidance for learners and trainers has also been provided with suggested learning scenarios to support delivery of the units.
