PressReader is a digital platform offering access to more than 7,000 top newspapers and magazines from around the world as soon as they’re available on shelves. You can access PressReader through both a website pressreader.com and PressReader app.

View issues in their original print layouts, read instantly or download for later on your devices. With publications in more than 60 languages and from 120 countries, you can access content from home, and from around the world. Access regional newspapers from across Wales such as Carmarthen Journal, Pontypridd Observer and The Daily Post, as well as Welsh and UK national newspapers such as Western Mail, Y Cymro, The Guardian and Vogue. PressReader delivers full issues of these premium newspapers and magazines instantly.

PressReader offers features like offline access, translation, and audio playback, enhancing the reading experience.

Yes, you’ll need a library card to use PressReader.

Each library has their own guidelines for getting a card. Some libraries will offer sign up for a new library account online through your local library authority website, with others you’ll need to visit the library in person to sign up. The service is compatible with all major computers and devices – iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phones and tablets and Chromebook™. All titles automatically expire at the end of the lending period and there are no late fees.

To use this service you must be based in the UK and be a registered member at a participating Welsh library. If you are already a library member, you can borrow digital magazines and newspapers using your library membership card number.
